Clay is a medium that bends, expands, renews, wears your marks, listens, shows you new horizons and feeds your passions. I enjoy pottery that conveys personality, a slight attitude and a static sense of energy. In these ways it reflects a beauty and the awkward imperfections which celebrate the handmade object over mass-produced, industrial ware. I also enjoy the ability to use figurative work to express the emotions of an idea or an event to give voice to those that may not be able to speak out for themselves or tell their stories.
